CMTAI’s 7th international conference Movement and Other Arts Therapies: Encountering the New Normal was held online in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Over two days, DMT and CAT professionals from across India, the US, and other countries facilitated and offered rich experiential sessions, keynote insights, and research presentations.
CMTAI’s 8th international conference Building Resilience and Promoting Healing through Dance and other Arts Therapies was held online in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. From Dec 4-5th, virtual experiential sessions by Indian and international professionals were conducted on varied topics, including building resilience, regulating emotional states, navigating relationships, and fostering well-being.
CMTAI’s 9th international conference Holding Space Across Communities Using Dance and other Arts Therapies was held in collaboration with SNDT Women’s University Department of Special Education, Juhu Campus, Mumbai from Nov 19-20th. The conference focused on how creative and embodied practices have had a psychosocial impact on individual and collective resilience, conflict resolution, intergenerational trauma, and reintegration of individuals across diverse communities in India and abroad.
CMTAI’s 10th international conference Beyond the Box: Innovations in Dance and Other Arts Therapies was held in collaboration with Christ University Department of Psychology, Bengaluru from Sept 21-22nd. The conference explored the latest trends, techniques, and practices in DMT and other arts therapies in India and around the world. This included innovative uses of therapeutic spaces; intersections of mental health, science, and technology; and the integration of techniques across creative arts and related disciplines.
