Each Member agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of CMTAI membership (“Terms and Conditions”) as set forth below. Failure to comply with CMTAI Terms and Conditions may result in the suspension or termination of an individual’s membership, with such suspension or termination to be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of CMTAI.
Membership registration must be completed online through the CMTAI website. Membership becomes official upon confirmation of payment and vetting of all criteria. No application for membership shall be denied based on race, colour, religion, gender, sexuality, national origin, (dis)ability, and/or any other characteristic protected by law.
Categories include Professional, Associate, Student, and Institutional members. Specific eligibility and membership benefits have been described on CMTAI’s Membership web page.
In order for members to change their membership category, they must meet the eligibility requirements of that specific category and upload any new and relevant documents. In addition to the specific criteria for each membership category, in general, all members must be in good standing. This includes adhering to ethical practices in the field, ethical representation, and professional and responsible conduct with members of the community as well as the public at large.
The membership term for all members will begin on the Date of Subscription, which is the date at which registration and full payment has been completed.
The standard membership term is 12 months from April 1 through March 31 of the respective fiscal year. However, the term of membership for all first-time members will start from the month of registration and dues for first-time Professional and Associate members only will be prorated based on the months remaining in that fiscal year. Institutional members must pay the entire fee.
In subsequent years, in order to continue as a member in good standing, full annual dues must be paid before the prior membership lapses.
Any revisions to the membership term and dues are at the discretion of CMTAI and Chapter Leadership Teams.
Membership dues are non-refundable and non-transferable.
A prospective member will automatically be matched to a CMTAI Zonal Chapter at the time of online registration based on the city/state in which they currently reside and work. If a member shifts/transfers to another city/state, they must inform the current CMTAI Chapter Leadership Team to which they are assigned. At that point, they must decide which Zone they would want to continue with for their current subscription. Please note, that a member can be associated with only one Zonal Chapter at any particular point in time and can only avail the benefits defined by that Zone.
Membership benefits are as defined by CMTAI and the Chapter Leadership Team on the CMTAI website. Membership category benefits may be changed at any point in time as deemed necessary by CMTAI. Members are expected to keep themselves updated of all changes by following Chapter and CMTAI social media pages/ website and events.
Members are not entitled to any monetary benefit or reimbursements related to Chapter events.
Members must not disclose or use any content, personal identifying information, or other materials shared or obtained during their participation as a member without prior formal written consent from CMTAI.

Additionally, members may wish to participate and contribute to the development and/or facilitation of Chapter events by working with their Chapter Leadership team. Any content or resources developed jointly for the purpose of Chapter-related events would be considered CMTAI property.
