TDIE 2025

Launched in 2019, the Therapeutic Dance-in-Education program is a pioneering initiative aimed at training educators and therapists in the application of dance and movement within school and special education contexts. The program equips participants to use movement-based techniques to engage children and young adults across physical, emotional, cognitive, creative, and social domains—thereby fostering holistic personality development.

At the heart of this approach is the integration of Dance/Movement with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), offering a powerful, embodied pedagogy that supports students’ cognitive, emotional, and social growth. By incorporating movement into educational settings, the program promotes inclusive, trauma-sensitive, and student-centered learning environments.

This hybrid training program—featuring both online and offline modules—is open to school teachers, dance educators, special educators, school counselors, and occupational therapists. It is conducted in collaboration with Chaari Center for Creative Movement Therapy, the program’s logistics partner.

The course is thoughtfully designed to empower educators with practical tools and theoretical insights to effectively implement movement-based strategies in diverse educational settings, enhancing the overall learning experience and emotional wellbeing of students.

Open to school teachers, dance instructors, counsellors, special educators, occupational therapists and anyone working with students
